The congress members will donate their salaries to pay for transportation, because “it is the essence of our movement,” said the coordinator of Morena, Ignacio Mier.

The federal legislators of Morena will pay from their own pockets in their corresponding states for the transfer of supporters of the Morena Political party and of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador who will attend the march next Saturday, March 18 in Mexico City, reported the Morena coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, Ignacio Mier.

The legislator indicated that all congress members are ordered to attend the demonstration in support of the government of the so-called Fourth Transformation, on Saturday afternoon in the capital’s Zócalo.

“And of course we are going to attend there, and surely, I am aware that, because several deputies have let me know, that they are going to allocate part of their diet to be able to be present and with them some of the colleagues who want to come as well and that the deputies jointly support his transfer”, expressed Ignacio Mier Velasco.

He argued that “the celebration of the march, on Saturday, is something that has to do with the essence of our movement, with the living expression of our movement, and not doing so would be an omission of our rituals that gave rise to this great movement. social”.

“We permanently defend the principles, values , and program of the Fourth Transformation. There can be no Fourth Transformation, it cannot be reflected in the facts if there were no deputies and deputies ”, he estimated.

He justified that “in fact, they lead all the reforms, both legal and constitutional, they are promoters of national sovereignty, they are defenders of the Fourth Transformation and they have a political role in their districts and their states. Regardless of the figure, the name, they are protagonists of true change because they are part of a movement”, he said.

The concentration next Saturday, March 18 is justified under the argument of commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Oil Expropriation of President Lázaro Cárdenas, as well as showing support for Andrés Manuel López Obrador, after the march on February 26, called by the opposition to ‘defend the INE’.
