In Chelem, conflict escalates between a Canadian expatriate and residents

Today, Mexican neighbors and foreigners will be doing a solidarity walk at 2 pm to protest against Daniel Brunet, a Canadian expatriate arrested for beating up a local woman and accused of allegedly killing multiple dogs.

The Yucatan Times has multiple videos showing Mr. Brunet driving by people’s houses and honking with a loud air horn.

There is an ongoing investigation at the State Prosecutor’s Office that involves Mr. Brunet and other parties.

More about this conflict this week on The Yucatan Times.
