Fugitive kidnapper captured in Yucatán

MÉRIDA March 19.- A fugitive from justice in the state of Hidalgo since 2014, yesterday Fausto V. C., accused of the crimes of aggravated kidnapping and robbery to the detriment of two people.

State investigative police from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), managed to locate and capture the subject.

Fausto V. C., 68 years old and originally from Mexico City, had managed to evade authorities in Hidalgo and was living in Izamal; he worked as a machinery operator on the Mayan train construction site.

Yesterday, police and investigating prosecutors from Yucatán, in collaboration with authorities from the state of Hidalgo, executed the arrest warrant issued by a criminal judge and placed the individual at the disposal of their counterparts in Hidalgo.
