Femicide in Yucatan: the identity of a woman found in Motul is revealed

According to information gathered, the woman worked as a waitress at the bar “El Pobre Tom”, located on 38th Street between 27th and 23rd, Colonia Zac Nicté, in the south of Merida; although her dead body was found near a factory.

MOTUL, YUCATAN – María de Fátima P. V., 31 years of age, was a woman who worked as a waitress in a well-known bar in the municipality, until someone took her life in the Zac Nicté neighborhood.

As reported, the woman was found lifeless – not wounded as initially reported – on a dirt road in the above-mentioned neighborhood, where she had been strangled and hit with a stone on the head, according to sources close to the investigation.

According to information gathered, the woman worked as a waitress at the bar “El Pobre Tom”, located on 38th street between 27th and 23rd, although her dead body was found near a factory.

After confirming the identity of the deceased, investigators carried out an operation in bars and bars in the city, and at the moment it is known that two men and a waitress were “taken” from a bar located on 26th Street and 27th Street. They also reportedly detained another subject who was riding a motorcycle.

Unfortunately, these types of crimes are getting more and more frequent in Mérida and the state of Yucatan.
