

OAXACA, Oaxaca, March 29, 2023.- Four members of the National Guard were detained by personnel of the Secretariat of the Navy for allegedly trafficking undocumented migrants.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Deportivo Sur neighborhood in the Port of Salina Cruz in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, in Oaxaca, when the members of the National Guard were transporting 14 migrants from Kazakhstan and Russia.
According to Semar’s report, the four detainees were handed over to the ministerial authority to define their legal status.
The 14 undocumented migrants were traveling in a blue vehicle, which was being guarded by the National Guard, who could not explain the reason for their accompaniment.
