A worker of the Elektra company was seriously injured after an accident on the motorcycle he was riding, it is said that a gust of wind was what caused him to lose control of his unit and then skid on the Merida-Progreso highway.
MERIDA, YUC. (December 13th, 2022).- The victim was left lying on the pavement without giving any sign of life, so drivers traveling on the same road stopped to help the motorcyclist, who remained motionless for several minutes.
A call was quickly made to the 911 emergency number to send nearby rescue units, shortly after which several patrol cars of the Secretariat of Public Safety (SSP) and an ambulance of the same corporation arrived.
The SSP quickly delimited the area and redirected the traffic on this stretch of road, to avoid any other accident at this point, also, the paramedics who also arrived descended from the unit to attend to the injured man.
At the Tamanché junction, the paramedics proceeded to stabilize him and later transferred him to a hospital in the capital of Mérida, the motorcyclist’s state of health was serious.
The motorcyclist’s actual state of health is unknown at this time, although unofficially it has been said that he died while being transported to the hospital. This version has not been confirmed by the authorities.
