AMLO says Donald Trump is a good person and he respects him

President López Obrador affirmed that Donald Trump is a good person and has respect for him, after the former US president announced his intentions to compete for the presidential candidacy of the Republican Party.

“He is a capitalist, he is not perfect, he is a good person and I respect him,” AMLO said in his daily morning press conference on Wednesday, November 16th.

The comment arose from the fact that, during a message at his Florida mansion, Trump said that Amlo is “a great gentleman, by the way, a socialist, but that’s okay, you can’t have everything.”

He added that the success he had on the border while the wall was being built was thanks to AMLO’s collaboration, since “we managed Mexico to give us 28,000 soldiers for free.”
