Yucatán has become the preferred destination for many celebrities looking for unique experiences. Given its great tourist offer and the natural wonder of its traditions, gastronomy and nature, Yucatán is the state chosen to pamper all those who visit it.
Serena Williams, who has been the dominant player for the last 20 years in this discipline, traveled to the Mayab as part of a trip with friends and took the opportunity to celebrate the engagement of one of them.
The athlete, who has broken international records, awarded 23 Grand Slams and 73 titles, visited the wonders of the state with her friends, who toured the Capital of the Mayan World and learned more about the region.
Their tour began with a visit to Tsukan Santuario de Vida, where the group enjoyed the natural wonder of a cenote surrounded by nature and vegetation. Afterwards, they visited the emblematic archaeological site of Chichén Itzá, where they saw and shared images of the mystical and imposing temple on their social networks. Finally, they visited the Pueblo Mágico de Valladolid, where they tasted the delicious gastronomy of the region at the restaurant “La Casona de Valladolid”.
As well as the tennis player, other athletes and personalities from the international artistic world, such as Zoe Kravitz, Channing Tatum, Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber, Estaban Gutiérrez and Charles Lecrerc from Formula 1, and the NFL Broncos cheerleaders have taken the time to visit and experience the tourist, cultural, gastronomic and historical offerings that Yucatan has to its credit, being one of the destinations that after the pandemic has been renewed and updated to offer travelers a reliable and safe tourism.
Serena, who is considered the best in history, ended her career last September saying goodbye to her fans in tears, thanking all those who have supported her career. The 41-year-old tennis player retires with 6 US Opens, 7 Australian Opens, 3 Roland Garros, 7 Wimbledon and an Olympic gold medal.
