The events occurred in a property located on Calle 22, in the municipality of Chemax, where agents of the Ministry of Public Security and the Attorney General of the State of Yucatan were alerted that a woman was being attacked.
(CHEMAX, YUCATAN).- According to the information released, a subject beat up his grandmother because she told him that she had no money to give him, for which the man got furious and attacked her.
Hearing the cries for help, the next-door neighbors came out of their houses and immidiately called the emergency number 911. Municipal police agents arrived at the site minutes later and arrested the subject, who is known in the area as a vandal and drug addict.
The man was said to be under the influence of alcohol and, apparently, other substances as well.
Municipal police asked for support from other corporations to capture the enraged man, who was extremely aggressive.
After struggling for a while, the subject was arrested and taken to jail, where he was charged with the crime of assault, that he committed by beating an elderly person, that happened to be his own grandmother. His legal situation will be determined by the corresponding authorities.
