A coordinated operation to combat drug dealing was carried out in Chelem, Progreso police station, by elements of the federal and state security forces.
CHELEM, YUCATAN., June 18, 2022. – Agents of the Army, Navy, National Guard, State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), and the Secretary of Public Security (SSP), executed a search warrant on a property located on 27th Street in the town of Chelem.
As a result, various types of narcotics, both natural and synthetic, were seized.
Two people who were inside the house were also arrested: José Osbaldo T. M., 51 years old, and Melissa Amairani T. V., 29, both from Mérida, Yucatán.
Both the detainees and the seized drug were placed at the disposal of the Control Judge who issued the search warrant and their legal status is yet to be determined by the corresponding authorities.
