Highlighting the entry of 7.2 million tourists to Mexico from January to March of this year, the National Institute of Migration (INM) reported that it strengthened the attention and service to travelers who enter the country through the different airports of the national territory.
The National Migration Institute pointed out that Federal Migration Agents (AFM) provide attention in a period of no more than two minutes per person, in the five international airports located in Quintana Roo, Mexico City, Baja California, and Jalisco, which currently concentrate 82% of the ait travel demand.
The INM stressed that the AFMs that welcome the national territory are trained to provide a “quality and warm service” as well as guidance on migration matters, in order to safeguard the rights of those who enter Mexico for business, health, family visit, or in this Easter season, to enjoy the tourist attractions that the country offers.
In the first three months of 2022, the INM has registered the entry of seven million 235 thousand 299 national and foreign tourists, of which the largest number presented themselves at the Cancun International Airport, with 2,863,417 passengers, followed by the International Airport of Mexico City “Benito Juárez”, with 1,820,432 visitors.
Meanwhile, the Los Cabos International Airport recorded 636,810 passengers. The Puerto Vallarta International Airport, 596,673; and at the Guadalajara International Airport “Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla”, 526,211 people.
The INM endorsed its commitment to safe, orderly, and regular migration, with full respect for the rights and protection of those who enter, transit, and leave Mexican territory.
