A few hours later , the 24-year-old victim died as a result of the injury she had on her abdomen caused by a knife attack.
Hospital authorities notified the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office of the death of the activist, whose body was transferred to the ministerial amphitheater, where it was delivered to her relatives on Monday, Jan. 24th.
So far in the investigation folder there are no details on how exactly the events occurred and about the probable person or persons responsible for the murder of the Morena party militant.
However, Ulises Lara López, spokesman for the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office, assured that the Public Ministry has already intervened the staff of the General Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services to gather evidence.
In addition, he said that, as part of the action protocol, agents of the Investigative Police have also been given the task of carrying out field and cabinet work, such as the analysis of public and private video surveillance cameras, and location potential witnesses to clarify the facts.
