Tecnológico de Progreso will participate in the World Invention Competition and Exhibition 2022

Progreso, Yucatán, (January 8, 2022).- Students from the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Progreso (ITSP) obtained their accreditation to participate in the World Invention Competition and Exhibition 2022, in Malaysia, with the Budget project, after outstanding participation at the ExpoCiencias Durango 2021 national meeting.

“The ITS Progreso understands the need for innovation in the labor sector; thus, the students of the Tecnológico de Progreso are fully prepared as professionals, with skills, attitudes, and values ​​that allow them to contribute to the sustainable development of society ”, indicated the Campus Director, María del Carmen Ordaz Martínez.

Budgeting consists of the design of an application that is in charge of preparing labor budgets, focused on the construction sector; It has transcended at the local, national level and, now, in 2022, participating internationally in a virtual way, she pointed out.

Likewise, she highlighted the participation of the ITSP in various calls for innovation, science, and technology, where this initiative had an honorable mention and the representation of the school obtained second place in the ExpoCiencias Yucatán 2021.

The foregoing was through the Secretariat for Research, Innovation and Higher Education (Siies), the National Network of Youth Activities in Science and Technology (RED), and the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (Upaep), with support from the International Movement for the Scientific and Technical Recreation of Latin America (Milset Amlat).

The objective, she added, is to encourage and recognize the participation of girls, boys, and young students, from elementary to undergraduate level, in the development of science, technology, innovation, and dissemination proposals.

In this way, the ITSP and Budget obtained high scores at Expo Ciencias Durango 2021, as mentioned above, and is on track to, this beginning of the year, represent Yucatán in Malaysia, during the World Invention Competition and Exhibition.
