Large amounts of sargassum landed out of season, in an atypical case in Cozumel.
(COZUMEL, QUINTANA ROO – ZOFEMAT).- As of this Sunday 16th, two crews in charge of the Federal Maritime and Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat) are raising a large amount of sargassum in the Tourist Center of Cozumel that was brought by the cold front and the strong waves.
Despite the cold weather (“Heladez)” that has prevailed lately, derived from Cold Front Number 22, Zofemat personnel went to the Aquasafari pier, to collect the Marine algae that has accumulated all along Rafael E. Melgar Avenue.
