Old versus new Nissan collision in downtown Mérida

MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (January 8, 2022) .- On Thursday, January 6th, at 9:50 a.m., the Municipal Police of Mérida took notice of a traffic accident on the corner of Calle 68 with 55, in which a Nissan Versa car with Yucatan license plates ZBR-540-C and a Nissan Tsuru compact car with Yucatan plates YWU-520-A were involved.

The vehicles were driven by Lisle Q.O. and Pedro H.R., respectively.

The accident was registered when the Versa was traveling from west to east on Calle 55th. Upon reaching the intersection of Calle 68, the driver did not respect the stop sign and crashed against the other car that was circulating on Calle 55.

The Nissan Versa invaded the lane and collided its frontal part against the left rear side of the Tsuru, which was circulating from south to north on 68th Street.

Due to the force of the impact, the Versa vehicle maneuvered to its left, dragging the Tsuru, who climbed onto the sidewalk.

Police agents came to the place, to regulate the traffic on the road. The parties involved called their respective insurance companies and reached an agreement on the scene.
