Fourth wave; Mexico reaches a new record with 33,626 Covid cases in one day

MEXICO, (January 11, 2022).- Until this Tuesday there are 4 million 170 thousand 066 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 300 thousand 574 deaths due to the disease in Mexico.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 33,626 confirmed infections and 162 new deaths were reported.

A total of 184 thousand 660 active cases of the virus were also registered, where Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Yucatán, Colima, Baja California, Coahuila and Tabasco are the states with the highest rate.

On the other hand, the first 10 entities that accumulate the highest number of cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo Leo’n, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, Puebla, Veracruz, Sonora and San Luis Potosi´.

Together, these states make up more than two-thirds (66 percent) of all cumulative cases recorded in the country.
