A strong fire was reported inside a bicycle factory located in the Coltongo neighborhood of the Azcapotzalco district in Mexico City
(MEXICO CITY – CDMX GOVERNMENT).- On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 19th, a strong fire was reported inside a bicycle factory located in the Coltongo neighborhood of the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office in Mexico City (CDMX), which led to the surrounding homes being evicted.
The mayor of Azcapotzalco, Margarita Saldaña, reported that at the moment there are two injured people who are already being treated by the emergency services.
Also the head of Government of CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, indicated that the Heroic Fire Department is already attending to the fire, and reported that so far there are no injuries.
So far there are no reports of injuries, but elements of the Mexico City Fire Department and Civil Protection are attending the fire in Central Sur and Calzada Coltongo, Caltongo neighborhood. The area remains cordoned off.
The Road Counselor of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) asked to consider Poniente 122 and Calzada Vallejo as road alternatives.
