(PROGRESO, YUC. – PROGRESO CITY COUNCIL).- Residents of the port of Chelem are benefiting from the second stage of the Electrification Expansion Program, which is being carried out on the instructions of Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi.
The Department of Urban Development and Public Works is in charge of the expansion project.
The head of this municipal agency, Luis Castro Naal, explained that the improvements were possible thanks to the resource of Branch 33-2021, through the Municipal Social Infrastructure Fund (FISM), of just over one million 900 pesos, with which more than 300 homes will have better lit streets.
“We carried out these works on Calle 25 between 94 and 102 and we will continue with more projects that allow us to bring the electricity network to more families, improving this public service in all the “Beach Communities” of the Progreso Municipality,” explained the municipal official.
Castro Naal concluded by mentioning that in addition to these works, the unit is serving the Progreso communities to provide citizens with greater security and quality services.
