Mérida, Yucatán.- With minimum temperatures of 10 degrees at dawn in the southern cone, this Thursday, January 13, the weather in Yucatán will be cool to cold due to the presence of frontal system number 21.

There will be a probability of showers and heavy showers in the north and northeast of Yucatán.

The cold air mass accompanying cold front 21 is being reinforced by another cold air mass, so a cool to cold dawn is expected.

The minimum temperatures expected at dawn this Thursday are:

Coast: 17 to 19 degrees
Merida: 14 to 16 degrees
Central, southwest, east, and northeast: 14 to 16 degrees
Former henequen zone, central cenotes belt, and south: 12 to 14 degrees.
Behind Sierrita de Ticul and southern cone: 10 to 12 degrees.

In the afternoon, cloudy skies and mild to somewhat warm temperatures are expected, with cold winds from the north and northeast.

This Sunday, January 16, cold front 22 is expected to arrive in the area early in the morning.
The cold air mass that accompanies it is expected to be of strong intensity, causing an increase in clouds, northwest winds with gusts of between 60 km/h to 70 km/h on the coast and of lesser intensity in the interior of the State.

There will be a marked decrease in temperatures, both in the maximum and minimum temperatures, prolonging for more days the cold environment for the Yucatán Peninsula.
