Dangerous criminal linked to 13 murders in Veracruz transferred from Campeche to prison in Oaxaca

Campeche, (January 3, 2021) .- Governor Layda Sansores reported the transfer of the PPL TAC, known as “El Lagarto” or “El Jarocho”, to a Social Reintegration Center in Oaxaca, a multi-homicide linked to the murder of 13 people in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, and indications of their participation as the intellectual author of the murder of police officer Anastasio Aldana Santos, and two other citizens in Escárcega, Campeche.

According to the report, related to this case, 5 searches were carried out in different parts of the municipality, securing cocaine, methamphetamine, and other psychotropic and narcotic drugs, and 3 people were detained, of which two were made available to the Attorney General’s Office.

On the other hand, also in Escárcega, in the Ejido La Libertad, 4 more arrest warrants were executed for the crime of human trafficking.

During the Roundtable for the Construction of Peace and Security, the Governor, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Government, Aníbal Ostoa Ortega, instructed to reinforce the attention of the Calakmul communities, especially those located on the Stateline with Quintana Roo, with social programs that allow families to raise their standard of living.
