The SSY reported that this process is carried out on the 10th and 11th, for public hospital workers, in the same hospitals, and on January 12th and 13th, in the Specialties Regional Military (HMRE), for private personnel.

Merida, Yucatan, (January 11, 2022).- “According to the schedule, this Monday, the personnel of the first and second lines of care of the public hospitals of the state began to receive the reinforcement doses against the Coronavirus, in their own clinics”, reported the Yucatan Health Secretariat (SSY).

To continue with the vaccination strategy in the state, workers of public hospitals belonging to the SSY, the Mexican Institutes of Social Security (IMSS) and Social Security and Services of State Workers (Issste), as well as the Regional of High Specialty of the Peninsula (HRAEPY), began to receive the booster dose in their work centers, a process that is carried out without delays or interruptions.

It should be remembered that, on Wednesday, January 12 and Thursday, January 13, the vaccine will be administered to private hospital personnel that serves Covid areas, a task that will be carried out in the Military Regional Specialties (HMRE) of Mérida.

For this reason, the SSY and the Ministry of Welfare make a call to the health personnel of the private hospitals, which do not provide services in the Covid areas, to avoid presenting themselves to the HMRE in order not to generate crowds, since they will not be vaccinated and will only be with those who meet the aforementioned requirement.

To conclude, the SSY doctor Ávila Avilés said that the appearance of new strains, which are highly contagious, only means that we must all redouble our care and seek to receive booster doses, to protect our health. To conclude, he recognized the good work that the Executive is doing, together with the other 2 levels of Government, to advance in a good way and without interruptions with the vaccination strategy.
