Yucatecan Baseball Association A.C. is organizing free “tryouts” in the Kukulkan Park

Mérida, Yucatan, (December 30, 2021).- In search of forming the U-15 team that will represent Yucatán in the National Championship of the specialty, to be held next February, in Hermosillo, Sonora, on January 6 and 7, the Yucatecan Baseball Association AC (AYBAC), will organize a free “try out” in the “Kukulcán” Park.

According to José Caballero Delgado, president of the group, the first day of activities will be allocated to the pitchers and receivers, while the second will be the turn of showing their skills to the infielders and outfielders. Both events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

“We want to integrate a strong team to face the National Championship, we hope to have a good number of participants, especially from the Meridana Children’s and Youth League and the Yucatan League, which are affiliated with us,” said Caballero Delgado.

The event will be attended by experienced former players such as Oswaldo Verdugo, Héctor Castañeda, Francisco Acosta, Raúl Ortega and Carlos Pérez, who will be in charge of observing the young baseball players.

Registrations can be made through the Association’s website (aybac.org) and one hour before the start of the “try out”. Participants must be born in 2007 and 2008, in addition to having Mexican nationality.

Likewise, the leader announced that in turn national competition will be the great showcase to detect the possible members of the ninth tricolor that will represent Mexico in the Pan American Championship of the category.

The presentation of the event was also attended by Juan Méndez Arcila, president of the Yucatán League; together with Armando Manzanilla Bonilla, holder of the Meridana Infantil y Juvenil.
