Epifanía “N”, 72 years old, accompanied a group of pilgrims who were returning from Mexico City.
MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (December 13, 2021).- What was a day of faith and devotion to celebrate the Vigen de Guadalupe, turned into sadness, as a 72-year -old woman from Conkal municipality accompanied a group of travelers from that municipality to Mexico City , died when they were resting in Maxcanú.
Conkal’s large group decided to show their devotion to the Morenita del Tepeyac by going to the Basilica of Guadalupe, and everything passed normally during the return, and upon reaching Maxcanú they decided to take another of several breaks.
However, Mrs. Epifanía “N”, 72 years old, began to feel bad, said that she was short of breath, and knowing that she suffers from hypertension and diabetes, her relatives who were also in the caravan asked for help, an ambulance take her to the IMSS of that municipality.
Paramedics approached the lady and transferred her urgently, but upon arrival she was assessed by doctors and it was discovered that she had already died, so the authorities took notice, and the procedures would be carried out to be able to take the body of the septuagenarian to Conkal, to bury her.
