The 2022 santos cup will arrive in Mérida next March, and has the objective of offering about 150 teams a tournament of an international and professional nature.
MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (December 16, 2021).- The cup will be held from March 16 to 21, and it is expected that more than 3,000 players from all over the country and abroad will arrive in the city.
According to Héctor González Contreras, the tournament’s manager of the Orlegi group, a company that includes Club Santos, Atlas, and Tampico Madero, this tournament will not only be a showcase for the next recognized footballers but also promises an economic benefit to the state of Yucatán.
The tournament will host the Kukulcán stadium, and the Salvador Alvarado stadium will also be used for the opening ceremony, while the Carlos Iturralde stadium will host the semifinals and finals.
In the presentation of the tournament, it was announced that there will be categories, children, youth, women, and adapted sports.
For soccer teams that wish to register, they must send an email to [email protected], where they must include a registration form as well as the information of the team and the category to which they will be registering.
