TICUL, Yucatan, (December 18, 2021).- Julio Enrique Euán Cabañas (aka “Rambo”), apparently under the influence of some drug, attacked his next-door neighbor Efraín Rosado Magaña, 34 years old, with a machete, causing him a head injury.
The bloody attack occurred on Friday, December 17th, at around 10:30 in the morning on Calle 7-A between 34 of the “Los Maestros” subdivision of the Mejorada neighborhood, Ticul, Yucatan municipality.
“Rambo” is known for his constant assaults with a knife on people, which he commits when he is under the influence of drugs.
A few days ago, Euán Cabañas was almost lynched when he was discovered breaking into a house in the same neighborhood.
In this new case, visibly drugged, according to witnesses, he attacked Efraín Rosado with stones as he was leaving his home and later hit him in the head with a machete.
Relatives of the injured man called the Municipal Police, and minutes later, several police units arrived at the scene almost immediately.
The agents, upon seeing Efraín bleeding from his head, requested the support of paramedics.
Upon arrival, the rescuers controlled the bleeding and then transferred him to the Health Center.
“Rambo” was detained and transferred to the Municipal Police headquarters, to be referred to the State Attorney General’s Office.
In this neighborhood, families live in fear, as this aggressive subject always goes out to the streets under the influence of drugs, and carrying a knife.
