

MÉRIDA, Yucatan, (December 17, 2021).- To reaffirm the willingness to work together, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal met with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and members of the National Conference of Governors (Conago).
Through a statement from the state government, it is stated that at the 61st Ordinary Meeting of the Conago, they reiterated their willingness to join forces around actions for the development of the country and strategies that help face the challenges ahead.

Subsequently, the Governor participated in the 47th ordinary session of the National Public Security Council, also headed by López Obrador, where it was agreed to continue reinforcing the programs and actions that allow reinforcing the tranquility of the families.
In directing his message, AMLO reiterated his government’s will to continue collaborating and acting in coordination with state and municipal authorities to guarantee the safety and protection of the country’s families.

Civil protection
Vila Dosal also participated in the third ordinary session of the National Civil Protection Council, where coordination was strengthened to improve mechanisms for preventing and mitigating the impact of emergencies and disasters.
In the meeting, protocols and challenges in the field of civil security were analyzed and they were invited to work together to be prepared and prevented in case of unforeseen eventualities.
Likewise, the importance of continuing to contribute to the consolidation of the culture of prevention in the daily life of Mexicans was reiterated.
For her part, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, recognized the great work that Vila Dosal and his fellow Governors have done, which has made it possible to adequately address emergencies throughout the national territory.
