MEXICO, (December 06, 2021).- Dozens of teachers affirmed that they will take drastic measures such as stopping their school activities and classes, this after the announcement by the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López Gatell, that Mexico will not be exempt from the new Ómicron strain.

In addition to this, they pointed out that if the variant reaches the capital it will be necessary for the return to face-to-face classes to take a break, since it is not worth putting students and education workers at risk, however, the Health Sector stated that fortunately there are no detected cases of this mutation.

So far in Campeche, 6 cases of teachers infected by the virus have been confirmed, without cases among students, so they ask the Secretary of Health to extend sanitary measures and begin to implement stricter restrictions in bus terminals and at the airport in order to control the flow of tourists that are still expected to arrive in the state during the holiday season.
