Booster shot for senior citizens now available in Mérida

MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (December 17, 2021).-.- As announced, this Thursday, December 16, the booster vaccination day against the Covid-19 coronavirus began in adults over 60 years of age in Mérida .

Marlene Sánchez Koh, 62, was the first person to receive her third dose in the Yucatecan capital, who went to the facilities of the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center to be vaccinated.

The day, in which the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical vaccine is applied, is also held at the “Socorro Cerón” Multigym of the Kukulcán Sports Unit, which together with the XXI Century are the two designated macro-centers where, until Tuesday, December 21, the booster dose will be applied.

It should be remembered that although at first it was established that the registration could be omitted to receive the booster dose, finally it will be necessary to obtain your proof of previous registration.

It is important to emphasize that in order to avoid crowds and offer better service, in accordance with the schedule, the application in the Yucatecan capital will be carried out as follows:

Friday, December 17:  those born in March and April
Saturday, December 18:  those born in May and June
Sunday, December 19: those born in July and August
Monday, December 20: those born in September and October
Tuesday, December 21: those born in November and December
