AMLO and Vila meet again to follow up on the Maya Train Project

This past weekend, during his last work tour in 2021, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador met with the Governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal to follow up on the progress of the Mayan Train project in the construction of section 3, which runs from Calkiní to Izamal.

The meeting was held at the Military Air Base Number 8, where Vila Dosal received the head of the Federal Executive, together with the heads of the Secretaries of National Defense (Sedena), General Luis Crescencio Sandoval González, and of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP ), Rogelio Ramírez de la O, as well as the directors of the National Tourism Promotion Fund (Fonatur), Rogelio Jiménez Pons and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Diego Prieto Hernández, with whom he was evaluating the progress that until the moment presents the work in the state.

López Obrador and Vila Dosal agreed to continue working in coordination on this and other infrastructure projects.

Mauricio Vila Dosal and Andrés Manuel López Obrador endorsed their willingness to keep the communication channel open to promote actions and schemes that translate into benefits for the Yucatecans and the residents of the entire southeast.

Later, the president made an oversight flight for Section 4 of the Mayan Train, which goes from Izamal to Cancun, a city where he finished his working tour of southeast Mexico.
