Mérida, Yucatán.- The Autonomous University of Yucatán (Uady) announced that on January 17, 2022, all its students at different educational levels will return to on-site classes.
In a press release, the state’s highest university indicated that the decision was made due to the good progress in the vaccination against the Covid-19 coronavirus and the positive evolution that positions the state in green on the epidemiological traffic light.
The return to school will take place as follows:
As of January 4, 2022, classes will begin in the virtual modality in High Schools One and Two (PREPA 1 and PREPA 2), as well as in the Academic Unit of Baccalaureate with Community Interaction (UABIC).
By January 10, 2022, the undergraduate and graduate programs will begin classes, also in virtual modality, to the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Finally, on January 17, 2022, students of all Uady’s educational levels will return to the face-to-face modality, for which 75 to 100 percent capacity will be maintained at the campuses.
The Uady indicated that it has implemented and will continue with all the sanitary protocols developed by the faculties of Nursing and Medicine, and will continue to pay attention to the logistics issues established by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering.
They also announced that the university authorities will remain in close contact with the state and federal governments, in order to comply with the sanitary regulations to be issued subsequently.
They point out that the experiences of the last months for health care will allow the safest possible return to the academic, cultural, and social activities characteristic of this great university community.
