After suffering an accident in Mérida´s Periferico, two co-workers are transferred to the hospital

Mérida, Yucatán, (October 29, 2021).- The accident occurred minutes after 10 at night in the outer stream of the peripheral ring at kilometer 45 + 500, near the Francisco de Montejo bridge, where the Volkswagen Vento vehicle license plate number YZK-617-B, which 56-year-old Aurelio C.R. was driving, while traveling from west to east.

The VW Vento ended up colliding with the Nissan Altima license plate number YYB-812-A, which was driven by 53-year-old Alonzo C.C., as this vehicle invaded the other car’s lane.

Due to the collision, both vehicles ended up in the middle of the Periferico high-speed lanes.

The Vento driver and his colleague, Jaqueline V.B.G., 52, were injured in the accident, both were assessed by SSP paramedics and later transferred to the IMSS T-1 hospital.

Agents of the State Police arrived at the site who took note of the traffic event.
