The “Force” is strong in these newborn babies

ORLANDO Florida USA (Times Media Mexico) – The AdventHealth for Women hospital in Orlando, Fla., dressed the newborns as Star Wars characters the past Friday December 20 to coincide with the premiere of the ninth and final episode of the film series, “The Rise of Skywalker”.

“The Force is strong in our newborn babies. AdventHealth for Women babies are getting into the characters to celebrate the arrival of the much-anticipated Star Wars movie ‘TheRiseOfSkywalker,’ the hospital said on its Twitter account.

Those babies born at the AdventHealth hospital were dressed as Luke Skywalker, Leia, Yoda and even the BB-8 android, iconic characters in the saga created by filmmaker George Lucas, as seen in photos posted on their social networks.

The doctor and director of the hospital, Rajan Wadhawan, told local media that the motivation of this initiative was to make the newborns and their families spend a fun Christmas holiday, and celebrate the release of the latest film in the saga.

“Being in a hospital is stressful for any patient or family member, so we have tried to do our best to bring a smile to their faces and distract them from the medical issues,” Dr. Rajan said.

By being so close to Orlando’s theme parks and the new Star Wars amusement park, the center wanted to add to “the excitement of the new movie,” and “bring excitement to the patients as well”.

Other hospitals around the country, such as St. Joseph’s Health Hospital in Syracuse, New York, also joined the lightsaber fest and disguised their newborns as characters from the saga.

In what will be the last installment dedicated to the Skywalkers, the film that opened Friday December 20 2019, recovers the story of Rey and Kaylo Ren, the only Jedi left in a galaxy far, far away, where only a handful of rebellious defenders of the Republic will have to face the powerful First Order.

The film, directed by J.J.Abrams, who had already directed “The Force Awakens” in 2015, has its world premiere more than forty years after the first film of this saga was shown, “Star Wars: Episode IV, A New Hope” in 1977.

May the Force be with them!
