Cold front number 19 will bring low temperatures for Yucatan, Campeche and Quintana Roo. Temperatures will go as low as 13 degrees Celsius (55.4 Fahrenheit)

MERIDA Yucatán (Times Media Mexico) – According to the National Water Commission (Conagua) and the Merida Regional Hydrometeorological Center (CHRM) of the National Meteorological Service (SMN). The mass of cold air that gives impulse to the “Frente Frío” (Cold front) number 19, will favor a decrease in the minimum temperatures during the next few days in the region, especially in the southern area of Yucatán, where the thermometer could reach 10 degrees Celsius (50 Fahrenheit) or slightly lower values.

Therefore, it is recommended that the population, especially children and the elderly, take the necessary precautions, especially during the mornings and evenings.

Similarly, to other days this week, the mornings will be hot with low rainfall potential. As of today, Tuesday December 03, the frontal system is expected to extend over the Caribbean Sea and south of Quintana Roo, favoring minimum temperatures between 13 and 17 degrees Celsius, without ruling out values between 8 and 10 degrees in the south of the state.

For Campeche, minimum temperatures are expected to be 15 to 19 degrees Celsius.

Although the potential for rainfall is low, there could be dispersed drizzles in southern Quintana Roo and southern Campeche. No rain is expected for Yucatan. The winds would be heading north-north-east from 15 to 25 kilometers per hour (km/h), with gusts greater than 40 m/h in the coastal zone of the region.

The maximum temperatures would range between 29 and 33 degrees Celsius in Yucatan, from 30 to 34 degrees in Campeche, and between 28 and 32 degrees in Quintana Roo.

No rainfall is expected in the region the next few days and the winds would be from the northeast at 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts of up to 40 km/h in the coastal zone.
