With a message to representatives of different brands and business organizations that participated in the First Corporate Social Forum in Yucatan 2019 “Social Responsibility and the Sustainable Development Goals A Challenge to 2030”, held in the auditorium of Silvio Zavala Vallado del Centro Cultural de Mérida, Olimpo, Mayor Renán Barrera Concha recognized that Corporate Social Responsibility is a form of management  defined by the ethical relationship of the company and the establishment, sharing compatible business goals that not only respect the environment, but which also promote the reduction of social inequality.

Renán Barrera pointed out that the idea of entrepreneurship in general must be based on the sense of commitment to generate jobs that contribute to changing the future of the workforce they are in charge of.

“In that sense it is important to not stop feeling the pain that causes to see that there is still much to do for others, that is where you should think about being an entrepreneur a corporate citizen and keep in mind that it is important to invest in our staff including their families, ”he said.

The mayor continued: “as human beings that live in the same community environment, we must move the sense of belonging where the primary objective is based on seeking the welfare of citizens”.

“That is where that sensitivity comes from, then we ask everyone to try to listen and come up with ideas to solve the problems that can be solved,” he added.
