On Friday October 11th, the LXII Legislature of the State of Yucatan was visited by a Delegation of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth and Children of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in a metting on which they shared ideas and proposals on the subjects of culture and education, in a cordial dialogue that took place in the commission room “Antonia Jiménez Trava. ”
Vietnamese representatives signed the book of distinguished visitors, and exchanged presents with Yucatecan legislators.
The delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam was made up of the vice-president of the mentioned commission, Pham Tat Thang; permanent members, Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa and Nguyen Quoc Hung; and the first secretary of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Mexico, Hien Do Tat.
Pham Tat Thang mentioned that they felt at home and, given this scenario, the exchange of ideas was helpful, successful and fruitful between the Yucatan Congress and the Vietnamese Delegation.
Tat Thang stated that in his country there are 63 provinces and 54 ethnic groups, and the group of deputies represented three different provinces of Vietnam, that in fact have a very similar climate to the state of Yucatan.
“With the exchange of experiences we open the first chapter of a lasting relationship beyond our borders, which despite the differences and distances will result in a deep analysis and strengthening in the points of parliamentary coincidence such as welfare and social justice ” said the president of the LXII Legislature, in representation of the members of the Government and Political Coordination Board, Felipe Cervera Hernández.
