The Ultimate Queen Celebration, a show that has successfully gone around the world, will have a feature presentation at Mérida’s Armando Manzanero Theater on Monday, November 18, 7:00 PM.
Many different elements played an important role in the overwhelming success of the Bohemian Rhapsody film, one of them, Freddie Mercury’s voice recreated by Marc Martel, who was chosen to merge his voice with the fantastic performance of actor Rami Malek and thus give life to Queen’s iconic vocalist.
Marc Martel was elected because his voice tone and singing style is practically identical to that of the late famous singer.
Marc sang “Somebody to Love” on a television show, and made Celine Dion cry.
Martel became even more popular on YouTube thanks to the auditions that Queen’s former members Roger Taylor and Brian May set up to form a tribute band: The Queen Extravaganza. The candidates had to be videotaped and Martel, in addition to winning the contest, went viral and ended up singing on the Ellen DeGeneres TV Show.
Martel has more than 568,000 followers on social networks, and some of his videos on YouTube exceed 17 million views.
