The federal government’s security cabinet released the video of Ovidio Guzmán López capture, on Thursday October 17 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, the son of “El Chapo” was subsequently released.
The Secretary of Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, presented the report of the Guzmán López detention, considered one of the main criminals who smuggle drugs to the United States including methamphetamine and fentanyl.
At a press conference, led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the head of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) indicated that prior to his capture, Ovidio had communication, by telephone, with one of his brothers.
In the images released on Wednesday October 30th by the federal authorities, the son of “El Chapo” can be seen talking on a cell phone and saying: “Stop everything you hear, stop everything, I gave up, stop everything please … I no longer want anymore riots. Tell them to leave now, calm down, go away. ”
The video that shows the arrest of Ovidio Guzman and his telephone call to stop the confrontations with the authorities prior to his release, was presented at AMLO’s daily morning press conference on Wednesday October 30th, 2019.
