The City of Umán alerted the population on Friday October 18th of a new criminal modus operandi.
In a statement to alert the population, Uman’s municpal police reports that on Thursday October 17th, a woman was walking on the street and from afar, she saw a couple in a romantic situation; but when she passed them by, both jumped on her, took her belongings, and then immediately told her to take off her clothes, as a strategy to run away while the victim dresses up again. ”
The woman went directly to the Municipal Police station and with the description she gave, the suspects were identified, then arrested, and the victim’s belongings were recovered.
The municipal authorities of Umán indicated that the case is in the hands of the Prosecutor General of Yucatan, which will determine the legal situation of the detainees (whose names were not mentioned).
