There is a possibility of a tropical cyclone arriving and wreaking havoc in Yucatan.
A low pressure system has the potential to evolve into a tropical cyclone and affect the Yucatan Peninsula, because it is moving towards this part of the country, authorities said.
According to the National Hurricane Center, an area of rains and thunderstorms is developing in the Caribbean Sea thanks to a low pressure area that has the potential to evolve into a tropical cyclone.
Similarly, it was reported that although this system is slow and its chances to develop into a tropical cyclone are low, it moves west-northwest, and it could be heading directly towards the Yucatan Peninsula.

Because there is a 10 percent probability that the low pressure zone will evolve into a tropical cyclone, the National Hurricane Center has already put this low pressure system on constant surveillance.

The predictions of the National Hurricane Center until Tuesday October 1st, determine that the probability of tropical cyclone development for the next 48 hours was 10 percent as well as for the next five-day period.
