The first ecological outodoor gym of the Benito Juárez municipality (Cancún), was inaugurated in Las Perlas beach, to promote and facilitate the practice of sports, in harmony with nature.
“At Las Perlas beach we have demonstrated that we know the best way to benefit our society in a healthy and ecological manner; we are committed to build outdoor gyms in the sandy areas of our destination, so people can come and exercise at anytime of the day, lead a healthy life, enjoy the outdoors with family & friends in a heavenly place and share the moment with other citizens, ”The Municipal President, Mara Lezama said.
She explained that this initiative seeks to innovate public areas with different ecological elements such as wooden benches made from endemic trees, and of course several types of bars and weights for physical exercise.
Lezama stressed that this is as part of a serious commitment with society, and part of the 2018-2021 Municipal Development Plan, in which other actions such as the rescue of public spaces, park remodeling and the creation of new recreational areas in Cancun.
“We must work hand in hand together, to recover peace and I am sure we will be able to achieve this through culture and sport,” she said.
“Our goal is to have clean streets and avenues, and when it comes to our beautiful beaches, which are our main attraction, what people come to enjoy, we must keep them in the best conditions as possible, and we must keep them clean not only for tourists but for ourselves,” Municipal President, Mara Lezama concluded.
