12-year-old boy reported missing in Mérida

Family of missing 12-year-old boy with autism requests help from Merida’s civil society to find him.

Tuesday October 22nd.- Family members of Christopher Sebastián Ávila Dzib, 12 years old, ask for the collaboration of society to provide information on his whereabouts.

The boy, who suffers from autism and is deaf and mute, left his home in Mérida’s Susulá-Xoclán neighborhood since last Tuesday, October 15th.

He has light brown skin, robust complexion and was wearing a red shirt with white plaid bermuda.

His relatives say he was last seen on Wednesday October 16th near the San Benito market, downtown Mérida.

His mother, Rosario Dzib Chan, asks citizens that if they see Christopher do not try to grab or hold him because, due to his autistic condition, he could get aggressive and start running.

If you have any information related to the whereabouts of Christopher, please call the Police and / or notify their relatives  at 9993-61-62-66.

Amber Alert for the search of the child will be activated today.
