According to the report issued by the Yucatan Attorney General’s Office, the teenager left her home on her own free will on Friday August 23rd.

Mariana Abigail Machín Canché, 16 years old, who had been missing since August 23, was located on Thursday September 26th, according to the Yucatan Attorney General’s Office in a statement.

According to the report, the girl was found in good health.

With the location of this missing person, the Amber alert issued under report number AAYUC18 / 2019 was deactivated. The Amber Alert was issued when her mother denounced her disappearance before the corresponding authorities.

According to the report, the 16-year-old girl abandoned her home in Mérida’s Colonia Roma, on her own will.

However, after being located by State Public Security agents in the Yucatan capital, the girl was handed over to their relatives after the corresponding legal proceedings.

As we reported on The Yucatan Times, Trinity R. A., 16, was also found on Thursday September 26th, and was taken to the “Center for comprehensive attention to homeless minors (Centro de atención integral al menor en desamparoCaimede).

Only one of the three girls that went missing in the west of Mérida in the last weeks, is still to be found; but it is worth mentioning that in other parts of Mexico, dozens of people go missing every week, and just a small average is finally located.
