State Photography Contest “Healthy Environment and Human Rights” announced by CODHEY

The President of the Human Rights Commission of the State of Yucatán (CODHEY), Miguel Óscar Sabido Santana, announced the opening of the fifth State Photography Contest “Healthy Environment and Human Rights” that offers 20 thousand pesos in prizes.

Sabido Santana called on  professional and amateur photographers to participate in this edition of the contest that has as its central theme “The Right to a Healthy Environment”.

“We are working with groups of environmentalists, specialists and scientists specialized in environmental issues, concrete actions to promote the care of our environment are desperately needed, we must be aware that the situation is critical and take immediate action before it is too late,” the President of the Human Rights Commission of the state of Yucatan said.

“And as part of the actions to promote environmental care, the fifth edition of the photo contest will be focused on that topic, to invite the participants to come together in a reflection, and also the public who will later be able to enjoy the exhibition”, Sabido Santana concluded.

The deadline for submitting photographic material is Friday, October 11, 2019. The prizes are:

  1. Ten thousand pesos first place
  2. Six thousand pesos second place
  3. Four thousand pesos third place
