A wide range of activities will take place in Yucatan on the occasion of the next “World Summit” of Nobel Peace Prize winners, to be held from 19 to 22 September.
In Mexico City, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal announced the details of the event, which has already been confirmed by 27 Nobel laureates, including Kailash Satyarthi of India and former presidents Frederik Willem de Klerk of South Africa, Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia, Lech Walesa of Poland, as well as Rigoberta Menchú Tum.
Recipient organizations such as the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Martin Luther King Center and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees will also participate.
Thematic forums will also be organized with the participation of singer Miguel Bosé, actor Diego Luna and ex-football player Rafael Márquez, among others.
On September 21 the concert “Yucatan for Peace”, will be held in the “Monumento a la Patria” and will feature Puerto Rican recording artist Ricky Martin.
This event will not represent any cost to the state government.
it was explained that this show will not represent any cost for the State Government, since it is the result of a donation by the singer in solidarity with the Summit, to which is added the support of a group of companies committed to the preservation of world peace.
It was explained that for this great event is expected the attendance of 25,000 people as follows:
- 20,000 tickets will be free
- 5,000 tickets will be made available with a fee.
Any extra income generated from any of the events will be donated to participating organizations and foundations so that they can continue their work in favor of a peaceful world.
