“When one thinks about this, these are practices of the old regime, I am working on my Annual Report, I do not have time to investigate, so we just removed the camera and we carry on with our duties,” said López Obrador.

The president of Mexico said that a few days ago a video camera was found in a boardroom in the National Palace, however he made clear everything that is done in his offices is legal, transparent.

“There is nothing to find against us, for example, the stuff about the longaniza (sausage), or that 200 thousand pesos were paid to reporters for making questions… public life is becoming more public, we have never filed a complaint of this type and we are not going to do so now, ”AMLO said.

Three days before delivering his First Annual Report, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that most people support his government, despite actions by the former regime to sabotage his administration, including espionage inside the walls of the National Palace.

The president added one of his famous colloquial phrases: “Fortunately, we are OK and looking good (Estamos bien y de buenas).”

And he concluded: “The federal agencies have the power to “get rid” of bad officials from past administrations that seek to obstruct the changes. The important thing is to end corruption, given the technocrats’ obsession with economic growth figures, that’s money that doesn’t even stay in the country”.
