An anonymous report to emergency number 089 resulted in the arrest of two men accused of homicide in the state of Campeche.

These two individuals had an arrest warrant for murder. The crime was committed last April in the state of Campeche. And they were finally detained on Sunday June 23rd, in Merida by investigative agents of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP).

Gustavo Alfredo MC, 34 years old, and Sinai GM, 23, both from the neighboring state of Campeche, are likely responsible for the murder with a firearm of a man in the community of Miguel Hidalgo, Campeche. The body was found abandoned inside a vehicle on the Ramal-Nuevo Coahuila highway. Apparently, the murderers wanted to make it look like an accident.

An anonymous call to 089 alerted the State Investigative Police (PEI) of the presence of the two individuals, who were hiding in a “Colonia” of the South of Mérida and were engaged in the business of repairing motorcycles.

The agents located the suspects, confrmed they were the two men wanted, and executed the arrest warrant issued by the 3rd Judge of the Accusatory and Oral Criminal Justice System of the State of Campeche.

The legal status of the suspects will be determined by a judge in the State of Campeche.
