Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — “One of the biggest challenges that Quintana Roo has is sufficient jobs and better remuneration for all Quintana Roo,” said Governor Carlos Joaquin during his announcement of the construction of the Sha Wellness clinic in the continental zone of Isla Mujeres.
“With this project, the confidence to invest in Quintana Roo is reaffirmed, which generates more jobs and better pay for people,” he said.
The announcement was made by the government Tuesday explaining that the construction of the wellness center will be an investment of $150 million USD and create approximately 3,000 direct and indirect jobs for the region.
Governor Carlos Joaquín says that the state’s tourism success is due to its natural wealth, its history, traditions, roots, gastronomic variety, and above all, the value of its people and this is what makes the state an attractive and safe destination for more and better investments.
“We need to have better paying jobs, which are reflected in a better quality of life for our workers and contribute to reducing inequality,” he said.
The project is being constructed by real estate company Grupo Sha headed by its president Alfredo Bataller Pineda and CEO Alfredo Bataller Parietti. It will consist of four buildings as well as a residential area, a wellness area, a clinical area, a fitness/spa area, swimming pools, terraces, machine rooms, parking lots, kitchens, offices, service areas, warehouses and 24 apartments for employees.
“With this project, the generation of a competitive and high-quality product from the Mexican Caribbean is strengthened, which adds to the 103,000 rooms currently available,” added Carlos Joaquín.
