

The governor of Yucatan Mauricio Vila Dosal met in New York City with members of the board of directors of Certares, headed by their CEO, Tom Klein.
Certares is a company based in Luxembourg that operates as an asset management fund, and was founded in 2012 by Greg O’Hara, who was responsible for investments of JPMorgan Chase.
Along with American Express Global Business Travel, Certares owns Travel Leaders Group, the Amawaterways river shipping company, and the French tour operator Marietton Developpement.
Michelle Fridman Hirsch head of SEFOTUR was also present during the meeting with Tom Klein and other high executives from Certares.
Who is Tom Klein?
In October 2018, Travel industry veteran Tom Klein was named Managing Partner and member of the Management Committee for Certares Management LLC, a leading investment and management company that has distinguished itself by investing in a broad portfolio of travel and consumer brands.

Before joining Certares, Mr. Klein served as Director, CEO and President of Sabre Incorporated, a global technology company serving the travel industry.
Prior to being appointed CEO, he held several executive positions at Sabre including President and Executive Vice President.
Prior to Sabre, Mr. Klein held various management positions at American Airlines and Consolidated Freightways.
