AMLO’s political party MORENA wins state election in Puebla and Baja California

This Sunday, June 2, Miguel Barbosa and Jaime Bonilla, candidates for AMLO’s political party MORENA, in the Mexican states of Puebla and Baja California respectively, won the election for governor.

In both states, the National Action Party (PAN) was defeated.


PUEBLA
From a hotel in the city of Puebla, the candidate of the coalition “Juntos haremos historia” (Together We’ll Make History), Luis Miguel Barbosa, assured that his government will walk “on the path of reconciliation for peace.”

Luis Miguel Barbosa said that it was an “exemplary, peaceful electoral process, with the normal incidents of any election day, but in general it was an impeccable day”.

The candidate stated: “From the first day of our government, we will walk along the path of reconciliation for peace, reconciliation for well-being and benefit of the people of Puebla”.


BAJA CALIFORNIA
The candidate for the governorship of Baja California for the coalition “Juntos haremos historia” (Together We’ll Make History), Jaime Bonilla, said that although the state is “bankrupt”, it has much to offer.

He indicated that the main objectives of his administration will be to combat insecurity, fight corruption and improve the health system in Baja California.
