AMLO to visit Yucatan on June 22 to consolidate housing investment

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will visit the state of Yucatan on a work tour scheduled for Saturday June 22, and he will sign an agreement with the State Government for 300 million pesos for housing development.

AMLO will also address the progress of the construction of the Maya Train Project and will present a balance of  social programs of his administration, including the “Jóvenes escribiendo el Futuro” program, which will incorporate 8 thousand new beneficiaries.

On Tuesday June 18, the state coordinator of Development Programs of the Federal Government in Yucatan, Joaquín Díaz Mena, indicated that this Saturday June 22nd at 2:00 pm the President, accompanied by Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, will lead a meeting with beneficiaries of this and other social programs.

The event will be held at the Sports Complex “Inalámbrica” ​​and then, at 6:00 pm, there will be a meeting in Valladolid, Yucatán, where AMLO will also evaluate the application of the Sembrando Vida program, aimed to help local farmers.

Díaz Mena explained that local agricultural entrepreneurs are planting fruit and timber trees, and in return, the Federation gives them $4,500 pesos a month, while they keep 500 pesos as a saving that will be delivered in two years.

“The President is coming to Yucatán to ratify the agreement signed with Governor Mauricio Vila on housing, on which 300 million pesos are being granted by the Federal Government; as our state is the one receiving more economic resources for housing from the Federal Government “, declared Diaz Mena.

Regarding the Maya Train issue, López Obrador will discuss the progress of this project, which in the last days had a modification in the Valladolid section.
